".Beauty is… a reverie, a daydream. I stare blankly into the empty space in front of me, fascinated with what my mind creates out of it. As I grow deeper into unconsciousness, the negative space evolves, illustrating fancy facades from dust that engross my thoughts. The images take new turns, leading me further from the existing world and into the vast chasm of my imagination. As I am guided through to an exciting new dimension, a nudge from the outside slowly shakes the images back to dust... Reality sets back in.

Students were allowed to submit original musical compositions not to exceed five minutes. A cappella (voice without instrument), instrumental, and voice/instrumental compositions were all acceptable. Each composition had to be the work of one student.
