PTA Member Requests

Are you a PTA member? If so, unless otherwise noted, you may duplicate and distribute all National PTA materials for PTA use without express-written permission from National PTA.

PTA members may reprint or take excerpts from any National PTA materials, including the information found on our website. We require that you cite the source and give attribution to National PTA (e.g., Reprinted with permission from "Making Parent-Teacher Conferences Work for Your Child," National PTA website, www.pta.org).

There is one exception to watch for—some authors who contribute articles to National PTA's Our Children magazine place restricted or one-time use on the article. If that is the case, it will be noted at the end of the article with the author's biographical information and how to contact the author for permission to reprint.

Nonmember Requests

Requests for reprint permission of all National PTA materials (in print and online) can be faxed (on organization letterhead or with your name and address included) to the Communications Department, ATTN: Permissions Coordinator, at (312) 670-6783; or mailed to 541 North Fairbanks Court, Suite 1300, Chicago, IL 60611-3396. You will also need to provide the title of the publication you are inquiring about, how it will be used (one-time use in a newsletter, etc.), the audience of the final piece (health practitioners, parents, etc.), and the quantity of the final piece that will be produced. We ask that you remit a copy of the published work for our records.

Requests are generally processed in four working days. If approved, you will receive a return fax with citation information.
